SALIENT FEATURES OF
ZERO LEAKAGE COKE DOORS - MODEL-I &II
MODEL - I DOORS : These doors are provided with a flexible
Diaphragm made out of thin austenitic stainless steel with a high
yield strength and corrosion resistance positioned between the main door
body and refractory plug of the door and bolted to refractory along
with a thick slide plate.
MODEL - II DOORS: These doors differ from Model-I door only in
respect of Diaphragm material. In model-II type doors the Diaphragm is
made of a thick Cold Rolled Sheet which is positioned between the main
door and refractory plug of the door and bolted to refractory along
with a thick slide plate.
DIAPHRAGM & KNIFE EDGE: Both model I & II doors are welded with
sealing knives which is pressed onto the door jamb surface by
means of plunger springs installed at the periphery of the door
body. The diaphragm & knife edges are constantly pressed to the
door jamb face automatically & smoothly ensuring that the
diaphragm corresponds to jamb warpage for perfect sealing
EXPANSION & CONTRACTION OF DOOR BODY: The
door body and diaphragm are fixed with a strong lever. The heat
expansion difference between the door body and the diaphragm is released
by letting the diaphargm expand vertically from the lever position. The diaphragm
warpage is adjustable by adjusting screw installed on the door body.
With this adjusting screw air-gap between door body and the diaphragm is
maintained.
SPECIAL FEATURES: The
air gap between the diaphragm with refractory plug and door body
protects the door against heat transmission from diaphragm & refractory
plus, keeps the door cooler due to natural air circulation between the
diaphragm & door body, thus the door body warpage is minimized. Since
the door practically remains straight the knife edges are automatically
pressed at right angles on to the door jamb, thereby completely sealing
the gas. Thus the oven door is a non pollution type door or can be
called as eco-friendly door.
The insulation of door by air reduces over all heat burden, raises
coking efficiency, decreases heat consumption and increases productivity.
Cooler door makes door handling easy and ambient temperature in front of
oven is improved, improving working condition & productivity. |
